Miami Heat vs Indiana Pacers - May 22, 2012 - The Miami Heat will play on their home court at AmericanAirlines Arena on Tuesday night for Game 5 against the Indiana Pacers.
Tied on 2-2, Heat and Pacers continues the action for the NBA Eastern conference semifinals bout.
Heat successfully avoided the 3-1 disadvantage Sunday night as reigning MVP LeBron James scored 40 points with 18 rebounds and nine assists to push the Heat in 101-93 victory. Dwyane Wade added 30 points, 22 in the second half. James and Wade performance was the highest-scoring total for them in their playoff career as teammates.
Udonis Haslem added 14 points for Miami despite of his large bandage covering a cut over his right eye.
On the other hand, Danny Granger scored 20 while Paul George added 13 to lead the Pacers. Roy Hibbert did not perform well as his action got slowed due to a foul trouble in the second half. Hibert finished with just 10 points and nine rebounds.
What more exciting tonight is the James-Granger match up - not only with the ball - but with words and more words. In the past three games of the semis, Granger committed technical fouls for getting into James and Wade's faces after fouls. Also in last Sunday, Granger approached Wade after teammate Roy Hibbert and Wade got tied up after a hard foul under the basket.
LeBron James can still lift up the Heat. What he needs to do is to bear on his mind that he can dominate the game. He is a monster scorer. But if the things will not work out for him - Dwayne Wade can do the rest. Shoot or pass, that might be the key. Defense plays a big role. If the Heat manage to score on each position and convert the defense into offense, well the game will be on their side.
