PGA Championship 2012 Leaderboard - It's PGA Championship! The best golfers in the world head to Kiawah Island, South Carolina to battle for the prize and glory. The 2012 PGA Championship will run from August 9 to August 12 at the Ocean Course of the Kiawah Island Golf Resort in Kiawah Island, South Carolina. There are total of 156 players in the field and will play for pruse of $8 Million in the longest course in major championship history.
The 156 players will play forthe first 36 holes of play will be reduced to the low 70 scorers and ties. Those players will advance to complete the final two rounds. If there will be a tie for first place after 72 holes, a three-hole aggregate-score playoff on holes No. 16, 17 and 18 will be implemented. If a tie still remains, there will be a hole-by-hole playoff beginning on hole No. 18. Holes No. 10, 17, and 18 will be played if ties still come and will be repeated until a winner is determined.
In the history of the PGA Championship, only Tiger Woods has managed to go back-to-back- and he did it on two occasions (2000-01; 2006-07). Keegan Bradley will try his best to repeat his championship and defend his title this year. Notable players in the event includes Dustin Johnson, Rory McIlroy, Jim Furyk, Martin Kaymer and Lee Westwood and still there's more to count.
Television coverage will be provided in the United States by CBS and TNT, and in the United Kingdom by Sky Sports. It'll be broadcast on TNT from 1 to 7 p.m. ET on Thursday and Friday, and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday; and on CBS from 2 to 7 p.m. ET on Saturday and Sunday.
